When you make that major decision to purchase a home, in the East Mountains, you need someone who is familiar with wells, septic and roads, and many other challenges that happen in rural areas. I have lived in Torrance County approximately 35 years I am an Estancia High School graduate, attended Eastern NM University, and TV-I in Albuquerque, where I graduated in Fashion Merchandising Retailing in Small Business. I have worked in County Government for over 25 years, working in the Torrance County Assessor's office, and then transferring to the County Clerk’s office, where I first worked as a Secretary then became the Deputy Clerk. I have also worked in the County Manager’s office assisting with Rural Addressing, Payroll, Human Resource and Health Insurance Representative and assisting with Worker’s Compensation issues. I was appointed to the position of Probate Judge, and served 2 terms, for a total of 10 years. I returned to TV-I in Albuquerque, where I received my real estate license, and have been active for over 10 years. I am knowledgeable with residential, commercial, vacant land and Real Estate Contracts. Having worked with Torrance County government, and now working as Deputy Assessor in the Assessor’s office I have become familiar with deeds, chain of title, roads, surveys, and property taxes. Sometimes these can be challenging with real estate transaction in rural areas but I am knowledgeable with residential, commercial, vacant land and Real Estate Contracts. Frank and I have been married 29 years, and we have one son, Francisco who is working on his masters at ENMU in Wildlife & Fisheries Science and one, daughter VaNessa who graduated from Estancia High.
Mike earned his Real Estate Brokers license in 1995 alongside his mother Patsy Gustin. At the time he was working for the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and retired in 2015. In 2016 he joined United Country Farm and Home Realty in Moriarty NM. Mike deals in all types of Real Estate including Ranch Properties, Recreational Properties, Residential and Country Homes, Commercial and Vacant Land. He also has experience in construction, ranching, and business. Both his mother and father have owned and operated several successful businesses.
Mike grew up in the small town of Mountainair, NM. After graduating high school, he attended Western New Mexico University and then New Mexico State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management and a minor in Range Management. He was fortunate to be employed by the Department of Game and Fish where he served for 25 years in several job capacities primarily in land and habitat management.
In 1991 he married his spouse Lisa. They had two children, Caleb and Jessica. Caleb is currently finishing his degree at NMSU and Jessica is teaching our next generation of agriculturists. In his spare time Mike likes to hunt and fish when he can, taxidermy, and helps out with the local Soil and Water Conservation District and county fairs. While raising their kids they were active in FFA and 4-H, and raising and showing pigs and lambs at the local county and state fairs.
United Country seemed like a good fit for his background in land management and his love of the outdoors. Mike believes his knowledge and experiences is an asset in helping people achieve their real estate dreams.
Leonard is a 32 year resident of New Mexico and calls Santa Fe his home. He is a 1987 graduate from Pojoaque High School and obtained an Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology from Northern New Mexico College in 1992. Leonard is the United Country Farm and Home Realty broker working throughout northern New Mexico. He brings knowledge and experience of northern New Mexico to the Brokerage through his 25 years of working in the land surveying industry and has experience in working with Santa Fe County and Rio Arriba County officials. Myra has a long and varied history in the East Mountain and Estancia Valley. She is owner/broker of United Country Farm & Home Realty and also co-owner of Oden & Associates, Inc., a land surveying and land development company. She has lived and worked in the Estancia Valley since 1976. Myra and husband, Tim, have purchased, developed, and sold major subdivisions in the Edgewood and Moriarty area. Myra acquired a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas, was a school teacher in the Estancia Municipal Schools and owned her own business for 10 years in Edgewood.
